Definition of Reliability
Reliability
refers to our measure repeatedly delivering the same (or near same) results.
Ideally, if we use the same measure with the same people under the same
conditions, our measure should give us the same result (Litosseliti, 2010: 55).
The reliability of a measuring instrument is the degree of consistency with which
it measures whatever it is measuring (Ary et al, 2010: 236). It can be said that
a reliable test is consistent and dependable.
